Trains to Legos

Early in March, the Moloko Siblings and I spent a day at Potomac Mills Mall doing some shopping. It was a drizzly Sunday afternoon, Hubby had the duty, and we were awaiting a pending snow storm to fall later that evening. So, we traipsed all over the mall, ate lunch at Auntie Annie's and decided to end our our adventure at the Lego Store. The Little Dudes had a blast creating and playing at the "work stations" provided and talked me into letting them build their own Lego dudes to bring home.

Once we arrived home, the Little Dudes retrieved their assorted Lego's and began playing on the floor in their bedroom. The complaints and frustrations were high as the carpet was not a suitable surface for their creations. Little Dude M and I were trying to come up with a solution when he decided we needed to clear off his beloved train table and make it a "Lego" table. Well, about a week later, we removed all the train paraphernalia off the table, flipped over the boards to a solid green shade, and emptied the drawers to make room for the Lego's.

The simple reshuffling of toys has provide endless hours of entertainment, creativity, and enjoyment over the past couple of weeks. The table is a vortex to anyone who enters the room, even MOM! Little Dude M proceeded to tell me "Lego's are cool because you can build anything you want."
